Katherine Trebeck
Katherine Anne Trebeck (* Mai 1976) ist eine australische Politikwissenschaftlerin mit dem Schwerpunkt Politische Ökonomie.
Karriere[Bearbeiten]
Katherine Trebeck hat einen PhD in Politik von der Australian National University[1] Sie forschte von 2005 bis 2008 an der Universität Glasgow. Sie hat Lehraufträge an der University of Strathclyde und der University of the West of Scotland.[2]
Sie arbeitete für die Hilfsorganisation Oxfam. Dort entwickelte sie den Humankind Index, den sie in einem TEDx-Talk in Glasgow vorstellte, und veröffentlichte 2013 eine Zusammenfassung von Oxfams Antwort auf die britische Regierungskonsultation zur Messung von Kinderarmut.[3] Als Lobbyistin der „Wellbeing Economy Alliance“[4] kämpft sie hauptberuflich für eine Wirtschaft, die menschliches und ökologisches Wohlergehen fördert.
Trebeck engagiert sich bei der Initiative „Economists for Future“. 2015 war sie Rednerin auf dem 5th OECD World Forum on Statistics, Knowledge and Policy "Transforming policy, changing lives".[5] Im November 2019 hielt sie einen weiteren TEDx-Talk in München zum Thema Why the Future Economy has to be a Wellbeing Economy.
