Michel Kandel
Michel Kandel (* 16. Mai 1965 in Dordrecht, Niederlande) ist ein Schweizer Physiotherapeut und Autor von mehreren wissenschaftlichen Artikeln auf dem Gebiet des muskuloskelettalen Systems.
Leben[Bearbeiten]
Kandel hat seine Grundausbildung zum Physiotherapeuten von 1982–1986 an der Physiotherapie Hochschule in Rotterdam, Niederlande absolviert. 1987 emigrierte er mit seiner ersten Frau Margreth in die Schweiz. 1993 eröffnete er seine Physiotherapie-Praxis in Oberriet SG, wo er bis jetzt aktiv tätig ist. Von 1995 bis 2015 war er zudem Dozent am University College für Physiotherapie in Landquart. Seit 2006 hat Michel Kandel das Schweizer Bürgerrecht. Kandel hat mit seiner ersten Frau zwei Kinder (Brian 1990 und Elvira 1992) und lebt mit seiner zweiten Frau Esther in Oberriet.
Schaffen[Bearbeiten]
Michel Kandel hat drei Masterausbildungen absolviert. 2010 einen Master of Advanced Studies in Manueller Therapie an der SOMT University for Physiotherapy in den Niederlanden, 2013 einen Master of Science in Physicaltherapy Sciences an der Vrije Universiteit Brüssel (Be) und einen Master of Science in Ultrasonography for Physiotherapists an der SOMT University for Physiotherapy (NL). In 2019 präsentierte Kandel zusammen mit Prof. Dr. Michel de Maeseneer und Prof. Erik Cattrysse ein auf Reliabilität geprüftes Ultraschallprotokoll für die Beurteilung des Anterolateralen Ligament des Knies[1]. Da dieses Band oberflächlich verläuft und durch seinen schrägen Verlauf in einer Kernspintomographie schwer zu sehen ist, kommt der Ultraschalldiagnostik hier eine grosse Bedeutung zu.
